The centerpiece of our control room is an early 1970's Opamp Labs 10x4 mixer/console. It features 10 channels of preamplifiers, 4 transformer-balanced busses, and 10 channels of inductor-based EQ. This is the same swinging input EQ design found in 70's API or Quad Eight consoles.
The same console was also used recently by St. Vincent / Annie Clark and in the 1970’s on many classic records by Armin Steiner at his studio in LA.

This console was completely refurbed, re-capped, re-fadered, and power supply re-built by renown console man, Ryland Bouchard. Prior to Ryland's work on it, the console lived at Kurt Ballou's God City Recording Studio and has been featured on some incredible records.
